Professional contract position available immediately to fulfill a contract funded by the World Bank with the Ministry of Education in Afghanistan to provide consultancy services to the National Institute of Management and Administration (NIMA), an institute located in Kabul, under the Deputy Minister for Technical and Vocational Education and Training. The project is focused on providing and implementing a sustainable program of academic quality assurance, certification and accreditation, and faculty support and training. The grant length is two years starting August 2013 with a one-year possible extension.
Minimum qualifications: advanced university degree in education, management, or any related field; at least ten years of experience in designing and developing teacher training programs for technical education.
Preferred qualifications: at least ten years of experience in designing and developing teacher training programs for technical education in management, accounting, and computer technology.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Seventy-eight days to be spent in Afghanistan.
