Staff position available immediately.
Responsibilities: monitor and maintain grant accounts for research funds received by the university from federal agencies, such as the National Science Foundation, as well as state and miscellaneous agencies and organizations; ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and federal regulations; provide assistance to faculty on individual awards; process salary payments and approve purchases on grants; prepare financial reports and invoices to granting agencies.
Minimum qualifications: associate’s degree or equivalent in a business or financial related area; three years of experience in business administration or financial related area; excellent mathematical skills, experience working with financial systems and Microsoft Office; excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work with detailed material.
Preferred qualifications: bachelor’s degree in business or financial related area; prior experience working with contracts and grants.
Starting salary $34,964 with excellent benefits.
