Violence in the Workplace

Workplace violence has been defined as any physically violenct act or threatened act of physical violence, harassment, or intimidation. Workplace violence can also be any other threatening or disruptive behavior happening at work.

Ball State University is not immune to the potential for these actions. All students and employees should be familiar with the signs of potential violence. Also, students and employees should know actions to take during or subsequent to acts of workplace violence. Plus, everyone should be aware of established communication procedures and university policies regarding threats, false alarms, and hostile acts.
