We understand how new or unfamiliar technology can be intimidating or frustrating to use. If you are not sure where to go for help, start at the Technology HelpDesk to find
answers to common questions about supported applications or learn how to fix
your computer problem. If you are really stuck and need some assistance, submit
a ticket to request online assistance from the Technology HelpDesk or make an
appointment to get personal support at the Tech Center in Bracken Library, room
101, or call 765-285-1517.
Please take a few moments to read our Technology Guide for Students. This guide will help you find the right services and technology resources to match your needs throughout the year. Bookmark this location, or save the PDF to your computer for future reference.
We all share in the responsibility to protect our computers, the network and each other from potential spam, viruses, and attacks on our systems. Here are four important actions you should take to protect your computer, your identity, and the network:
- Password protect access to your computer and do not share that password with others
- Set up your computer to automatically patch and update the system software
- Install an antivirus program and keep it up to date
- Never share your password or personal information in a reply to an e-mail message, even if the message appears to be real or threatens to close your account
