Kari’s enthusiasm for Ball State took root during her first visit to campus as a high school senior and has grown stronger and deeper since. She even married a fellow Cardinal in the shadow of Beneficence. After eight years executing marketing strategies for a mail order dessert company in the Phoenix desert, Kari’s desire to work in higher education drew her home to Muncie in 2013 to tell the stories of her beloved alma mater.
As an account strategist, Kari draws upon experience in the arts, education, and as a state government communications staffer to develop marketing strategies with campus partners including the College of Fine Arts and Governmental Relations and Community Engagement. Favorite projects include those that showcase the many educational and cultural experiences that Ball State offers students, faculty, and the local community.
Outside the office, Kari is often found experimenting in the kitchen, reading, running, or indulging her love of entertainment. She and her husband, Nick, who is Ball State’s diving coach, dedicate much of their free time to attempting to keep up with their two young children, working on home improvement projects, and cheering on the Cardinals around campus.
