If you’ve read a Ball State viewbook, news release, Commencement program, arts and entertainment brochure, web feature, or billboard, chances are you’ve seen Kim’s handiwork.
Kim most enjoys collaborating with writers to make their already good stories even better. Since 2007, she has used her strong fact-checking, grammar, spelling, and storytelling skills in her Marketing and Communications position. In addition to improving the structure and style of writing, Kim ensures consistency in communications across various platforms. In 2014, she founded a writers group within the division and continues to lead it.
Before joining Ball State, Kim spent 17 years at Indiana newspapers, with stints as a section editor at The Journal & Courier in Lafayette, education reporter and garden columnist at The Muncie Star, and editor of The News and Sun in Dunkirk.
In her spare time, she writes historical fiction and has authored two published novels. She and her husband tend their garden and share their home with a spoiled cat. They have a daughter and three granddaughters.
