Displaying a Permit
All citations issued to a permit will be the responsibility of the permit owner regardless of whose vehicle it is displayed on. Displaying a permit that belongs to another student, employee or family member of another student or employee; that has been altered or reported lost or stolen will result in parking privileges being revoked for one calendar year.
Employee and Student Permits (Window Stickers) must be affixed to the driver’s side, lower corner of the front windshield. The permit must be right side up; it cannot be displayed upside down or sideways. All backing must be removed and the permit cannot be taped or laminated. All expired permits must be removed. Failure to display your permit will result in a citation.
Motorcycle Permits must be affixed to the motorcycle license plate. If you have a motorcycle permit from a previous year, place the current permit directly over it.
Hang Tags must hang from the rear view mirror while in use. If you do not have a rear view mirror, the hang tag should be taped to the windshield where the mirror would be located. Hang tags should not be displayed on the dash. Doing so may result in a citation.
Apartment Stickers must be affixed to the driver’s side, lower corner of the front windshield along with a valid Ball State permit (commuter, general or restricted).
Departmental Permits are to be displayed on the driver’s side, lower corner of the front windshield along with a valid Ball State faculty/staff or student permit. It should be placed just above the window sticker.
