R. Wayne Estopinal has been a member of Ball State’s Board of Trustees since 2011. He is president of The Estopinal Group, an architectural firm based in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Estopinal earned two bachelor’s degrees from Ball State in 1979, one in architecture and one in environmental design. He and wife Thresa founded The Estopinal Group in 1989. They moved the company headquarters from Texas to Jeffersonville two years later, where today it employs 70 people and offers services in architecture, planning, engineering and interior design to a wide range of clients, including those in healthcare, education and municipal government. The Estopinal Group, which has won numerous awards for its architecture and design, also has offices in Louisville, Kentucky; Evansville, Indiana; and Shreveport, Louisiana.
Estopinal is a member of the Ohio River Greenway Development Commission and the Jeffersonville Historic District Board of Review, and he serves on the boards of directors for Your Community Bank, the Louisville Zoo Foundation, and Community BankShares Inc. of Indiana. He formerly served on the board of directors for the Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Estopinal is a current member and past president of the Ball State University Alumni Council, and serves on the Ball State University Foundation Board of Directors. He lives in Jeffersonville.
