Barbara Phillips

Barbara Phillips began her service on the Ball State Board of Trustees in 2006, and currently serves as assistant secretary. She is from Carmel and serves as the chief learning officer of Gaylor Inc., a holding company with interests in electrical contracting, education, manufacturing and telecommunications.

Phillips had a distinguished career as a teacher and principal at Wilson Middle School in Muncie for 37 years before joining the corporate world. She earned her graduate (’63) and undergraduate ('52) degrees in education from Ball State.
