Ceremony Lineup Information
Ceremony
Each graduate will proceed across the stage as his or her name is read. President Jo Ann M. Gora will greet the advanced degree candidates. College deans will greet the baccalaureate and associate degree candidates.
A name card will be given to each candidate at the line up site and will be used to read names. Each candidate will be asked to print his or her name on the card and hand it to the reader before crossing the stage. If your name is difficult to pronounce, include a phonetic pronunciation as well as the printed name. Please fill out the back side of the card so you can receive information about the pictures taken of you during the ceremony. Doctoral and specialist candidates do not need to fill out name cards; details about the pronunciation of their names will be worked out ahead of time through the Graduate Office, and their name cards will be given to them during line-up on commencement day.
