View a live webstream of the Spring 2013 Commencement ceremony starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4.

Tickets are not required for any of Ball State's commencement ceremonies.

Name cards can be picked up in advance at each college dean's office, in the Commencement Office (Lucina Hall, room B-4), and outside the Office of the Registrar (Lucina Hall, room B-43). Cards will also be available at each college ceremony the day of commencement.

maycommencementThe May Commencement ceremonies honor students who will complete degree requirements at the end of the spring semester 2013.

The ceremony at the Arts Terrace includes a commencement speaker, hooding of honorary doctoral candidates, recognition and hooding of doctoral and specialist in education candidates, recognition of undergraduate honor students, and the conferral of bachelor’s, master’s, and associate degrees by President Jo Ann M. Gora.

After the main ceremony, all graduates will recess and follow their college deans and faculty marshals to their respective ceremony sites, except the College of Sciences and Humanities and Miller College of Business. Teachers College students will recess out the back of the graduate seating toward the Burkhardt Building and campus drive and line up again near the Arts Terrace site.

Please remember, you must apply to graduate and declare your intent to participate in a ceremony! All graduate and undergraduate students who plan to graduate and participate in a ceremony must complete the following two-step process:

Step 1 - Eligible students must complete an application to graduate. Log in to Self-Service Banner (SSB) at my.bsu.edu and click on the "Student" tab, then click on "Student Records," then "Apply to Graduate."

Step 2 - Participants will need to order the necessary materials such as the cap, gown, and tassel. We ask that you get all your materials early in case something needs to be returned or exchanged.
