Ceremony Lineup Information

Main Ceremony
The undergraduate and master’s candidate lineup for the main ceremony will be at 9:15 a.m. on Campus Drive near West Quad. Lines will form back toward the west on both sides of the building. Each college will have a sign, and candidates will line up behind the sign corresponding to the college of their major/minor. For further information, view the list of departments or call the Commencement Office at 765-285-1689 with questions.

Doctoral and Specialist in Education Candidates
Meet and line up at 9 a.m. in the east lobby of Lucina Hall. Associate Dean Carolyn Kapinus will assist. A faculty member of your committee or chair will hood you during the ceremony. Procession out of Lucina will begin at 9:40 a.m., so please be prompt in arriving. 

Faculty and Professional Staff
Meet at 9:15 a.m. on Campus Drive at the Administration Building. Faculty marshals will arrange two lines to flank the students as they proceed down Campus Drive. If the main ceremony is moved to Worthen Arena, faculty members will line up for the processional at the same time, 9:15 a.m. and will be instructed as they enter the arena.  In the event of inclement weather, updated information will be posted on Ball State's home page. Cap and Gown Grad Fair will be held February 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and February 22 from noon to 6 p.m. in the Ball State Bookstore (first floor, Art and Journalism Building). Balfour, Ball State’s official cap and gown company, will be on site to assist with your cap and gown purchase, invitation ordering, class rings, and frames for your diploma.

Also on-site for the fair will be GradImages, our official photographer for commencement. During this time you will have the opportunity to have your picture taken in your cap and gown. Door prizes will also be awarded throughout the day.
