To graduate, every student must apply, even if you don't plan to attend a ceremony.
A $25 application fee is charged when applying to graduate. The fee is assessed per
degree (example: master of arts, associate in science, etc.) and per
completed application. If you apply to graduate and then determine that you do not meet the requirements, you will have to re-apply for the correct graduation date and an additional $25 fee will be charged. Application fees are not refundable or transferable.

Academic progress can be seen on your DegreeWorks. Log into Self-Service Banner (SSB) at my.bsu.edu, click on the "Student" tab, then "DegreeWorks for Students".
If you have questions about your eligibility to graduate, you should contact the Upper Division Advising Center located in AC 224 (765-285-5490).
Students eligible to graduate must complete an application in order to graduate. Log into Self-Service Banner (SSB), click on the "Student" tab, then "Student Records", and finally click "Apply to Graduate" to start the application process.
On the application, you will indicate: "yes," "no," or "undecided". After you submit your application, if you want to change your attendance, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Undergraduate students can apply to graduate using SSB through the dates listed below. Student names will appear in the Commencement Program Book. After that date, students can apply through the Upper Division Advising Center, located in AC 224 (765-285-5490). Due to printing deadlines, students who apply through Upper Division Advising will not have their names printed in the program book.
Fall 2015 - (Commencement - December 19, 2015)
Application available in SSB: March 1, 2015 - October 28, 2015
Spring 2016 - (Commencement - May 7, 2016)
Application available in SSB: September 1, 2015 - March 21, 2016
Summer 2016 - (Commencement - July 23, 2016)
Application available in SSB: February 1, 2016 - June 19, 2016
Graduation rank by degree type (associate, baccalaureate, master,
education specialist, and doctoral), is based on the cumulative grade
point average at graduation and is available to students if they contact
the registrar’s office at 765-285-1722. Please note this is not
directory information and will be released only to the student.
Diplomas for master's, bachelor's and associate degrees will be mailed approximately four to eight weeks after commencement to the address listed in the Graduation Application. Doctoral
and specialist diplomas will be given to the recipients at
commencement. If you need to make a change to your address after applying to graduate, please e-mail email@example.com with the new address.
