Note for all Ball State researchers conducting animal-based research: Effective January 1, 2012, NIH requires that all Assured institutions conducting animal research be in accordance with the standards set forth in Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, 8th Ed. All researchers must make sure that their protocols and their animal care and use programs are in accordance with the Guide.
