Q: How many students are enrolled at BSU?
A: Approximately 16,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students on campus.

Q: Where do you go for campus tours?
A: Admissions Visitors' Desk in Lucina Hall.
Q: How do I get a student job at Ball State?
A: If a computer is available, visit the Career Center website and select Student Employment; otherwise, visit the Career Center located on the second floor of Lucina Hall, Room 220.
Q: What do I do when people ask me where things are on campus?
A: Large, full-size maps are available for free at the Admissions Visitors' Desk in Lucina Hall and at Parking Services. A campus map also is available online. Receptionist stations should have maps readily available so as to be able to answer location questions.
Q: How do I apply to attend Ball State?
A: Inquire as to undergraduate (Office of Admissions), graduate (Graduate School), or international (Rinker Center for International Programs) admissions. Inquire as to on campus (Office of Admissions) or off campus (School of Extended Education) classes. Applications are available in offices or can be printed or completed online.

Q: Whom do I talk to about a question on my bill?

Q: The section I want is full. How do I get in?
A: Refer the questioner to the academic department where the course is being taught. Offer to provide building, room number, telephone number.

A: Paper check or online with a checking or savings account.

A: Registration for Distance Education classes is available online. If the caller doesn't have access to a computer, transfer the caller to the School of Extended Education, 285-1581.

A: Ask the caller: Do you mean Independent Learning which is handled by the School of Extended Education or do you mean Independent Study which is arranged individually with a faculty member? Depending on the answer, transfer the caller to the School of Extended Education at 285-1581 or to the academic department named.
Q: A caller asks if there is someone who can review his resume for him.
A: Direct the caller to the Career Center website and/or transfer the call to the Career Center, 285-1522.
Q: A caller asks why there is a hold on her records.
A: Transfer the caller to the Office of Registration and Academic Progress, 285-1722. Registration will determine what kind of hold, and the caller will then be directed to the office that placed the hold.
