Encrypting Documents

Encryption is a means of protecting sensitive information by converting information from a comprehensible form to a format that cannot be understood. It uses a mathematical algorithm to scramble readable text that cannot be read unless the reader has the key to unlock or convert the information back to its readable form.

There are two methods available on campus to encrypt: Microsoft Office and PDF encrytion.
