Antivirus and Security (VPN) Software

Ball State offers students and employees a variety of free software to keep your computer safe from harmful infections and to secure the connection between your computer and the Ball State network.

The key types of protective software you will want are:
  • Antivirus software: Keeps your computer protected from viruses, malware, and other threats.  
  • Virtual Private Network security software (VPN): Allows off-campus access to secure Ball State resources, plus can be used by wireless users.
