Letter from the Vice President for Student Affairs

Dear Student,

Your success is extremely important to us, and we want to make sure we do everything we can to help you achieve your educational goals and be eligible for the jobs you want after graduation. For that reason, we work hard to educate all students about issues that can affect not only their well-being but also their success.

One of our most visible efforts is our alcohol awareness education program. We focus on alcohol awareness because we want to reduce risky behavior that can jeopardize your health, safety, and educational success, ensure that you understand the risks and consequences of illegal or irresponsible use of alcohol, and clearly and forcefully communicate our commitment to maintaining a positive educational environment and academically strong institution.

We know that the vast majority of you are responsible and respect the law. We feel these education efforts are necessary to protect your educational investment and our institutional reputation so that neither is compromised by the actions of just a few.

Personal responsibility is an important part of college. So is helping and supporting your friends. For most, college is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. By working together, we can make that experience truly outstanding.

Sincerely,
Kay Bales
