Know the Facts

We urge you to avoid excessive alcohol consumption and to avoid illegal drugs altogether. Here's why:

  • Alcohol is a factor in nearly three-fourths of campus rapes. It lowers your inhibitions and makes it harder for you to make good decisions and assert yourself.
  • When you are at a party, be sure to get your own drink and keep it with you. Date-rape drugs like rohypnol, GHB, and ecstasy are odorless and tasteless. They are very easy to add to a drink without your knowledge. If you suspect someone has put something in your drink, do not drink it.
