What to do if Assaulted

If you have been sexually assaulted, report the crime and seek medical attention before you change, bathe, or even go to the bathroom. Call 911 or University Police at 765-285-1111, and ask police to contact the on-call victim advocate.

The university’s Office of Victim Services provides guidance and emotional support to sexual assault victims. A victim advocate is available 24 hours a day to accompany you to the emergency department at Ball Memorial Hospital, where you’ll be seen at the Delaware County Sexual Assault Treatment Center. This center provides comprehensive medical care by physicians and credentialed forensic sexual assault nurse examiners.
