Muncie Travel and Services
You can use the following services to
get around campus and Muncie and travel outside of Muncie:
The
Ball State Shuttle runs to and from the football stadium, University Apartments, and along McKinley Avenue (to south of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center). The service operates from August to May during the academic year. A lift-equipped shuttle is available for students with disabilities and will pick up and drop off students at any campus location. The
Disabled Student Development office establishes the list of students eligible for this service.
Muncie Indiana Transit System (MITS) is the local bus transportation for the city of Muncie. If you’re a Ball State student, you can ride for free, and routes are available between campus and major points of interest. MITS Plus offers a shuttle for people with disabilities. Call 765-289-6487 for more information.
The
Internet Ride Board can help if you’re searching for a ride to a specific location or interested in setting up a carpool schedule. It’s important for you to consider safety when you are setting up a trip, and you should know that Ball State University is not responsible for any potential mishaps that occur on trips arranged through the Internet Ride Board.
The
Indianapolis Airport Shuttle is available for all students, faculty, and staff. Reserve your time 48 hours in advance.
