Family Weekend Golf Outing
The 8th Annual Family Weekend Golf Outing will take place on Sunday, October 25th at the Muncie Elks Country Club. Cost per team is $200, or $50 per golfer. Registration and breakfast will begin at 9:00am, and the shotgun start tournament will start at 10:00am. Lunch and awards will be distributed after the conclusion of the event. This year we are happy to announce that Dixon Golf will be a corporate sponsor of our event. Dixon Golf is an Arizona-based company that created the world’s first high performance eco-friendly family of golf balls. Established with an innovative mission, Dixon was founded in 2008 to reduce the carbon footprint the game has on our earth. In effort to find a solution to the 300 million golf balls ending up in landfills each year in the U.S. alone, many of which contain harmful heavy metals, Dixon Golf introduced a sustainable golf ball that performs to pro standards and is industry approved. Dixon Golf balls are weighted with a heavy earth salt -- a complimentary ingredient found in nature.
The 18-hole, private-equity course at the Muncie Elks Country Club facility in Muncie, Indiana features 6,384 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71 . The course rating is 69.6 and it has a slope rating of 124 on Bent grass. Designed by Bill Barnes, the Muncie Elks golf course opened in 1960.
