Buying a Computer

Every effort has been made to offer computers and other technology items in stock at the our store. In addition to the great items that the store carries in stock, even more products are available to you from Apple and our other vendors.  

Apple Online Store for Ball State University

Current Ball State students, faculty, and staff can visit a special Apple Online Store that has been customized just for us. It allows you to see all the products that are available from Apple at educational discounts, including items not in stock at the Technology Store. Please note that departments making Apple purchases with university funds should contact techstore@bsu.edu for current pricing on items for university purchase.

Lenovo Online Store – Personal Purchases

In addition to purchasing Lenovo ThinkPad notebook computers that are carried in-stock at the Technology Store, current Ball State students, faculty, and staff can purchase items from Lenovo’s Online Store. Lenovo gives us great discounts on their entire product line. Their award winning ThinkPad notebooks, desktops and accessories are also available. The online store allows you to custom configure a computer that is just right for you.

Lenovo Purchases for Departments

Please note that departments making Lenovo purchases with university funds should contact the Technology Helpdesk and log a Technology HelpDesk Ticket Request to receive a quote specific for Ball State departments. Departments can also purchase Lenovo computers off of the Technology Store Sciquest page.

Additional Information for Departments

Departments can contact the Technology HelpDesk by calling 765-285-1517 if they would like assistance with a computer purchase. The Technology HelpDesk will gather information and then refer it to the procurement staff.
