Getting Help

How can I get help with my computer?

If you are having problems with your computer, you can get help from the Technology HelpDesk by visiting the Online Technical Support Center at  www.bsu.edu/helpdesk, by calling  the Technology HelpDesk at 7675-285-1517, or by stopping by the Tech Center in Bracken Library, room 101.

Where do I take my computer to be fixed?

We have certified repair technicians on campus that can fix your computer. If you have a Windows-based computer or a Mac, you can make an appointment with TechTime. Mac users can also stop by the iCare Corner in Teacher's College for assistance.

If the problem is determined to be a hardware issue, the staff in TechTime or at the iCare Corner will give you a referral slip. You can take your referral slip and computer to the Technology Store in Bracken Library, room 103, where they will process your request for repair.

Please note that hardware repair is available for all Mac computers. Windows computers must be purchased at the Technology Store to be eligible for hardware repair services.

Will you install the software for me?

Help with software installation can be obtained by making an appointment with TechTime or visit the iCare Corner if you own a Mac.
