The Ball State home page is the gateway to all other pages of the university's Web site, be they related to academics and athletics or campus life and admissions. A news ticker at the bottom of the page is updated with the latest information about university goings-on. In the event of an emergency, the home page would be one of the first places university officials would turn to post official information for all audiences.
