Ball State has a bold vision: to be a model of interactive marketing in higher education by 2016. The university is backing its vision with significant resources, starting with adding positions and seeking the best talent in the country.
Our accomplishments at Ball State are guided by an ambitious strategic plan.
Where others see threats, we see opportunities in the unprecedented change facing higher education. The university has been successfully repositioned over the course of a seven year effort. In that time,Ball State has attracted record applications and enrollment. Average SAT scores of incoming freshmen are up 68 points. And the university completed its largest capital campaign in history above goal, even when conducted during the worst economic climate in a generation.
University Marketing and Communications leads marketing and branding for the university and has been an integral player in its repositioning. We believe that goals belong at the center of our work, that creativity is best achieved through true collaboration, and that clarity and simplicity lead to elegant solutions. We are passionate about our work and it shows. Read more about our culture (PDF).
Many of Ball State's marketing efforts are widely recognized as examples of leadership in higher education. Its branding story has been featured as keynotes, tutorials, and advanced sessions at the American Marketing Association Symposium on the Marketing of Higher Education (AMA), the American Council on Education (ACE),the Association of Governing Boards (AGB), and the Asia Pacific Association of Internal Educators (APAIE).
In order to achieve our bold vision in interactive marketing, we are looking for individuals who want to join our team and play a crucial role in reinvigorating the university web site, creating a new governance model and content strategy, implementing CRM, and strengthening integrated marketing campaigns with new digital strategies.
