Using Ball State's proxy access system, you can grant others permission to view certain information about you in Self-Service Banner and/or to have conversations about you with employees in certain campus departments. For example, you may wish to grant a parent or spouse access to your academic or financial information. This is called granting proxy access, and the other person is referred to as your proxy.
Absent that permission, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) prevents the university from releasing or discussing your student record with others, including members of your family.
You can grant or revoke access to your records at any time. If you have questions, contact email@example.com.
