Family and Consumer Sciences Practicum Students
Child Development and Child Life Specialist majors complete a practicum experience at the Child Study Center during their course of study. Family and Child majors may also opt to do so. A three-hour credit assignment provides the opportunity to engage in 200 clock hours on-site as an Assistant Teacher or Administration Assistant throughout a semester. The position of Administration Practicum lets you step into the director’s shoes. By working with the Director, you get to experience the joys and challenges of running a child care program. Students have the option of being assigned the Infant/Toddler Lab or the Preschool Lab.
