Academy For Community Leadership Thursdays, September 5-December 5, 7:30-10 a.m. Cost: $ 295 for Chamber Members (Includes Ball State employees and students) and $345 for Non-Chamber Members. Cost includes textbook, continental breakfasts and graduation lunch. The Academy for Community Leadership (ACL) is a partnership between Ball State University and the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. Each fall, this 13-week course is offered targeting those interested in becoming more active members of the community. Participants will meet key community leaders and participate in a community project. Meetings are held at strategic locations throughout the county ACL helps develop leadership talent and potential, and provides valuable networking opportunities for participants. Most of our community's current leaders in business, philanthropy, education and government have participated in the Academy. Participants will hear from state and national thought-leaders and learn successful best practices that they can implement in their communities. Program would be beneficial for stakeholders in economic and community development and planning, arts, culture, and tourism, elected leadership, service organizations, community wellness, public utilities, and federal, state and local government are encouraged to attend and join the discussion.
