Events are held on the second Saturday of each month from 1-2 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

September 9

International Phalaenopsis Alliance Meeting
Seminar and guest speakers, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Pre-registration by Sept. 6 is $15, or $20 at the door. Contact Russ Vernon (New Vision Orchids) at 765-749-5809 or newvisionorchids@aol.com to register.

Orchid Care
Have an orchid or want to try growing one? Not sure how to take care of it? What do I do when my plant stops flowering? Learn how to repot and keep your plant healthy at this event. Limited to 15 guests.

Family Weekend
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Come join us for tours throughout the day on this family weekend event.

October 4

Brown Bag Lunch Wednesday
12-1 p.m. Bring your lunch to the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse and enjoy a peaceful meal among the orchids with members of the Ball State community.

October 14

Community Artists Invitation Day
10 a.m.-noon, 1-2 p.m. Sketch and plein air in the greenhouse. 

November 1

Brown Bag Lunch Wednesday
12-1 p.m. Bring your lunch to the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse and enjoy a peaceful meal among the orchids with members of the Ball State community.

November 11

Tropical Edibles
Have you ever wondered where bananas really come from? Join us for an introduction to tropical food plants. Foods will be served! For families and children ages 5+. Chaperone required for ages 8 to 10.

December 2

Evening Holiday Open House
Tours from 6-9 p.m. Experience the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse at night, decorated for the winter holidays. Concurrect events include the greenhouse silent auction, glass and demo sales at the Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass and the Minnetrista Luminaria (with MITS Trolley shuttles available).
