Quality Matters Program
Ball State is a member of the Quality Matters Program, a nationally recognized peer review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. 

The Integrated Learning Institute (iLearn) provides course development, professional development, and faculty research support. One of the keys to iLearn is a dynamic environment where team members participate and collaborate in meaningful ways, and where priorities and accomplishments are transparent and recognized. 

iLearn continues to reinvent itself based on the needs of learners and our evolving vision of the future for achieving academic success.

Course Development:
iLearn’s team of instructional design and technology consultants work with faculty and staff to provide quality instruction through a learner-centered approach to instructional design.  iLearn instructional design is focused on 21st Century skills such as higher-order thinking, problem solving, and technology integration. Instructional design leverages practical experience, research,and theory.

Professional Development:
iLearn provides resources that empower faculty and staff to serve learners and the academic community in ways which bring about change consistent with Ball State’s vision of the future as an entrepreneurial university.

iLearn embraces the academic community by providing faculty with research support through accepted technologies and methodologies. iLearn also strives to contribute to communities of inquiry through scholarly educational research, conference presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.

iLearn is an institute within Academic Affairs which provides faculty, administrative, and student support services for online education.
