Course Proposal Process

The Integrated Learning Institute (iLearn) is dedicated to providing faculty with support, time, and resources to effectively develop quality instruction. Faculty members work with iLearn instructional designers and professional staff in order to ensure optimal results. Courses are designed to meet research-based standards of best practice.

An important part of working with iLearn is the close collaboration between the subject matter expert and the instructional designer (ID). Regular and substantive communication between the developer and the ID is an integral part of the development process to achieve success.

A course must exist in the course catalog prior to being approved for development. Course developments are considered complete upon successful review by iLearn and department or program designees.

Once you submit your request, your department chair will receive a notification for approval action. Upon department approval, your request will be forwarded to the dean of the corresponding college for approval then forwarded directly to iLearn for final approval for resources and any applicable stipend.

In order to start the process, submit a request here.
