The Messages tool is a private, secure, text communication for you to use with the students in your course. It is similar to email but, you must be a course member to read and send messages. Messages are more reliable than email. Using this tool will keep student communications organized and your regular email inbox from being too full.
How do I use messages to students?
Instructors and students access Messages from either the Tools menu or from a direct link on the course menu. Creating a new message couldn’t be simpler. Just select the recipients, enter the subject line and compose the message using the visual text editor, include images, multimedia or files as needed and submit.
