Originally from Pakistan, Arshad Khan is currently pursuing his PhD degree in English Literature. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Peshawar. He had been working as a lecturer at Hazara University, Pakistan before he received a Fulbright Scholarship in 2010 to pursue his MA studies at BSU as a cultural exchange student. The unique geography of Arshad’s natal place, namely the tribal areas of Pakistan gives him an insider’s understanding of the education and culture of both Afghanistan and Pakistan. Arshad is fluent in Pashto, Urdu and Dari. His multilingual skills will be very important for the CID as it is working on different grants and projects dealing with Pakistan and Afghanistan.
