NIMA 2014

A group of Ball State faculty and staff conducted Teacher Orientation for all new and returning NIMA faculty.  All twenty-two faculty members attending.  The workshops were directed by Ms. Robyn Shifrin, Dr. David Roof, and Mr. Jaweed Samsoor.  Topics included syllabus restructuring, curriculum revisions, student evaluation tools, teacher observation tools, and other classroom management topics.  This faculty orientation workshop was the first of its kind at NIMA. 

Prospective NIMA students took their English proficiency exam, the British Council’s APTIS exam, March 1-6.  Results were published when the students returned from winter break.  Good luck to all of the incoming freshmen students! 

Aside from these activities, the faculty and staff of NIMA celebrated International Women’s Day on March 5 at the NIMA campus.  All female staff and one female faculty member enjoyed presentation and speeches from as far away as Muncie, Indiana.  Representative Sue Errington even delivered a speech by video.  CID’s Jan Miller also spoke at the event.
