The Center for Professional Selling provides opportunities for undergraduate students to excel with the major in professional selling, as well as a minor. Graduate students can pursue a master of business administration (MBA) with a concentration in sales management.
The undergraduate sales curriculum includes courses in sales and sales management and several related marketing electives. While you will spend time in the classroom, the bulk of the course work is experiential, giving you the opportunity to practice your skills. Some of the course work includes selling products (such as advertising) to the local business community, developing real-world sales materials for business clients, role playing (in a video lab setting), managing contacts and territories using CRM software, and sales management.
In addition to our programs for students, we also serve the business community by providing sales and customer service training, sponsoring seminars, making presentations on current (and timeless) sales topics, and hosting an annual sales career fair.
