Teaching Science with Apps

Jason and his students worked with Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS, to research and design a series of animated applications that teach children about the basic principles of chemistry. Research demonstrates that children who have not been introduced to or who have misconceptions about these principles have difficulty understanding them at later stages in their education. The seminar worked with the students in the Burris Laboratory School to determine the educational effectiveness of these applications.
