Jennifer Grouling is an Assistant Professor in Rhetoric and Composition.
She received her PhD in Rhetoric and Writing from Virginia Tech in 2011
and has been at Ball State ever since. She teaches both undergraduate
and graduate courses on writing and teaching
writing. She also wrote about book about tabletop role-playing games and
is an avid gamer herself. She currently studies writing assessment.
holds an MFA in Creative
Writing from the University of Alabama. In addition to working with the Writing
Center, she is also the current Secretary to the Director of the Writing
Program at Ball State. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Associate Director of Online Tutoring
Liz Whiteacre is an Assistant Professor in the English Department who teaches
the first-year composition sequence, Introduction to Creative Writing, and
Poetry Writing. She has been developing and teaching online courses in
composition, creative writing, and literature since 2003.
Katherine (Kat) Greene is a PhD student in Rhetoric and
Composition, but she also has an interest in creative writing, especially creative
non-fiction. She has taught Eng. 103 and Eng. 104. Most importantly, she is
eager to help with creative and academic pieces.
Phuong Minh Tran is currently a second year Master’s student
in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a Graduate
Assistant for the Writing Program. With her research focus in teaching
composition to ESL students, she has experience in helping international
students with their composition projects.
