Academics and Admissions

If you’re interested in studying humans and the elements that make up their culture, language, and daily life, anthropology may be the right path for you. It’s a broad range of study that includes archaeology, cultural anthropology, linguistics, and biological anthropology. Our degree programs will give you a wide background that will benefit several career options.

We offer a bachelor’s degreemaster’s degree, and minor in anthropology as well as a minor in Native American studies. In addition to our challenging, hands-on programs of study, we offer amazing opportunities for students wishing to study abroad. Our field studies can take you to the Southwest,  Romania, or South Africa.

During your time at Ball State, you’ll be guided by faculty and staff who are well versed in diverse areas of research, win awards, and have a noticeable passion for their jobs. They will serve as your advisors to help make sure your experience is rewarding.

We invite you to learn more about anthropology and why you should study it.
