Kenton Hall

Kenton Hall

Professor of Art

Room:AJ 121A

Kenton Hall earned his MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Being a teacher of both sculpture and furniture design (wood working) he has always struggled with making work for exhibition, believing that he should be making sculptural objects based solely on content and techniques as a mentor to students. While he enjoys the casting process, his actual passion for creative making has always been more about design and using intuitive knowledge about wood to fabricate furniture. The content reference to unions, guilds, and a life of work worth living reflect his socialist leanings and guide his current research interests. He now knows what he wants to do when he grows up.
