The School of Art is no longer accepting applications for the 2015-16 academic year. Please refer to admission information for currently enrolled students


To complete the admission process applicants must complete and submit both the application for undergraduate admission to Ball State University and the School of Art Application. When applying, it is important that applicants indicate art as the intended major. Learn more about how to apply to the School of Art Undergraduate Programs (PDF).

Key dates for admissions and freshman scholarship consideration:

February 20, 2016: Open House and Portfolio Review
On this day, students bring actual artwork to be reviewed for admission consideration. The program application and scholarship materials may be submitted at this event.

March 1, 2016: Priority deadline for admission and scholarship consideration. The program application and scholarship materials must be emailed by this date to receive full consideration. Learn more about Art Scholarships for First-time Freshmen, including Recommendation Form (PDF).

April 1, 2016: Deadline for regular admission (no scholarship consideration). Applications received after this date will be considered on a space-available basis. Students are encouraged to apply early.
