Ball State's School of Art educates artists, designers, and teachers. Our academic programs develop students' artistic abilities, encourage their creative thinking, and prepare them for professional experiences.
Core courses and studio classes stress both production and criticism of art and the relationships between art and culture. Computers are integrated into the curriculum along with traditional art media.
All freshmen planning to major in art at Ball State must complete the First-Year Foundation Program. Then students may pursue one of the degrees below and focus their studies in the program areas listed to the right.
