The School of Art
offers graduate study leading to the following degrees:
Applicants for the MFA degree program in art at Ball State must first be accepted to Ball State’s Graduate School and then be formally admitted by the School of Art. After you have been admitted to Ball State’s Graduate School then you may apply to the School of Art. This means if you are interested in graduate study in art at Ball State, first, you will need to:
• Follow the application instructions for Ball State’s Graduate School
• International Students should begin with International Admissions
After you have completed your application to Ball State’s Graduate School, then follow the application instructions for the appropriate degree you desire in the School of Art. See how to apply for an MFA below.
To Apply for the MFA Program
Applications must be complete by March 31 (or first business day after).
Assistantship Deadline: If you are interested in an assistantship, your application must be completed by Friday, January 13, 2017 (or the first business day after). Prospective students must be accepted to Ball State’s Graduate School, hold a bachelor's degree in Art from an accredited college or university with at least a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 scale or have a 3.0 GPA in the last two years of study, and provide the following items to the School of Art:
