College of Architecture and Planning

About the College

Ball State's nationally recognized College of Architecture and Planning (CAP, for short) is built on a fundamental belief in hands-on, experiential, and immersive learning to give students a feel for the power of design, confidence in their abilities, and connections to the real world.

In fact, our world is not just about design and planning itself, but also finding ways to connect with and shape the world through forward-thinking work and meaningful service.

Here, you’ll gain substantial experience in the latest areas of environmental design and planning, with the study of community-based design and planning, complex digital architecture through digital form and manufacturing, and foreign travel through many study-abroad programs. You’ll benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and resources. And our immersive learning opportunities will meld content, skills, societal need, and interests into an intense, collaborative, and transformative experience with real-world impact.
