Getting into the College of Architecture and Planning’s (CAP's) First-Year Program is a two-tier process: You apply for admission to both the university and the college.
You must complete Ball State’s Undergraduate Application for Admission and Housing as well as CAP's supplemental application, which are on the same form. You may apply online on a secure site
or download and print a paper application (download the CAP supplemental application). If you choose to apply online, pick “Architecture First-Year Program” as one of your intended majors on the electronic form. Apply online now.
Please note that your CAP application won’t be considered until you’re admitted to Ball State. Also be aware that getting into Ball State is not a guarantee of admission to our college. Check out the CAP admission selection criteria for more information.
If you’re providing supplemental materials, such as an applicant portfolio, please upload your 10 MB File in PDF format saved as a single pdf file named as your first and last name when you are completing the Ball State application. If your file is between 10 MB and 20 MB, the file can be e-mailed to Lori Pence. If your file size slightly exceeds 20 MB or if you would prefer to send in your portfolio at a later date, the file must be sent via postal mail to the College of Architecture and Planning, Ball State University, 2000 West University Avenue, Muncie, IN 47306 (attn: Undergraduate Admissions).
Please note: There are different procedures for transfer students and international students.
