College of Architecture and Planning 4

Admissions and Academics

Immersive learning is the heart of Ball State, what makes it stand out among institutions of higher education. The College of Architecture and Planning is no exception.

Our academic programs in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, historic preservation, real estate development, and urban design include a broad foundation of theory, an appreciation of history, and a well-rounded development of basic knowledge. Upon this foundation, each program builds a rich experience of hands-on learning—allowing you to gain understanding, grasp and hone skills, and develop confidence through work on real-world projects and problem-solving opportunities.

This philosophy is built into all levels of education offered by the College of Architecture and Planning—our bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, our minors, and even our highly regarded summer workshop for high school students.

Take a look at the work of some of our students, and you’ll see just how effective this approach can be. Then pay us a visit to see firsthand how Ball State brings the real world to the campus and the learning experience into the real world.
