The Center for Historic Preservation provides professional and educational experiences to Ball State's graduate students. Many of those students come from the Master of Science in Historic Preservation program, which is offered through the Department of Architecture in the College of Architecture and Planning.
We provide a number of graduate assistantships and internships to qualified students in the historic preservation program. While first-year graduate assistants work for faculty members on a variety of projects from research to planning, second-year graduate students employed at the Center for Historic Preservation gain valuable hands-on experiences. In addition to working directly with the Center for Historic Preservation, second-year assistants work with a range of outside preservation organizations, including Indiana Landmarks, Indiana Main Street programs, consulting firms, and community development corporations.
