ARCH 581 - Design Computation & Fabrication Applications (3 credits)
Foundations course introducing computation, design methods, tools for digital fabrication, and project delivery methods for design through production. Initiates a core understanding of geometry, fabrication strategies, and data extraction/translation through a series of hands-on, iterative modeling and fabrication projects. Prerequisite: graduate status.
ARCH 593 - Design Computation/Fabrication Applications Seminar (3 credits)
Seminar focusing on a discussion of critical consideration of design computation, fabrication technology application issues and discussing theoretical digital technology issues. Students will work collaboratively to develop critical and prototypical projects. Prerequisite: graduate status, ARCH 581.
Self-directed, entrepreneurial, creative projects perform ARCH d under the guidance of faculty advisors and in collaboration with industry partners. Students are encouraged to consider applied research potentials for projects. Prerequisite: graduate status, ARCH 581.
Critical overview of current digital fabrication methods and tools for the design and production of artifacts of various scales and types. Prerequisite: graduate status, ARCH 581.
TEDU 697 - Problems in Technology Education (1-3 credits)
Independent study in advanced industrial or professional techniques. Prerequisite: permission of the department chairperson. A total of 3 hours of credit may be earned.
