You might find yourself surprised with all the things you can do with a chemistry degree. Besides teaching and working in labs, you can become a writer or editor or even study law.

About 50 percent of chemists chose to work in research, but some choose careers such as:

• anesthesiologist
• criminologist
• dentist
• dermatologist
• food and drug inspector
• sanitarian

• urologist 

After years of working or maybe right out of college, you may find that you have a desire to teach. Chemistry teachers are needed in not only high schools and colleges but middle schools as well.

With a degree in chemistry, you can truly go far doing something you love.
