When you need us, we do our best to be there. You’ll find a sense of caring and a passion for our students to succeed at Ball State.
Students say our department is like a second home and they don’t feel intimidated when they go to class because most of our classes are small.
To ensure you’ll do well on tests, we will help you get ready for each test in your general chemistry class. We will hold a three-hour study session to make sure you’re prepared.
Unlike larger schools, you’ll have the opportunity to do hands-on research early into your studies, including a special summer program. You will work with us on interesting topics such as organic chemistry and physical/analytical chemistry. In fact, approximately 80 percent of our students do research with a faculty mentor.
You’ll also get to use state-of-the-art instruments here. We upgrade our instruments often to make sure you have the best.
